Rossmore Church Re-Roofing & Heritage Preservation Works

Client: Anglican Church Growth Corporation // FTA Projects

Location: Sydney, NSW 2000

Service: Heritage Refurbishment

sector: Heritage commercial

Completion: 2022

This beautiful 19th century church, built between 1848-1850, was in dire need of some tender love and care after 170-odd years. We were contracted for heritage preservation works to give the church a new life and to slow down the inevitable degradation from weather and time.

The works included the removal of the old asbestos and timber roof shingles to make way for a new galvanised heritage roof. We undertook careful clean down of the building, as well as remediation and replacement of the exterior stonework, along with emergency repointing works. The entryway portico has also been meticulously replaced like-for-like.

The building is now again ready for another 170 years of life – at least!
